Overview

Guests to the wedding have a wide selection of lodging accomodations to choose from throughout the Monterrey penninsula. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Monterey Bay Lodge near downtown Monterey, which we encourage guests to consider first. However, if this location does not fit your needs, we have some other recommendations as well.

Group transportation between the Monterey Bay Lodge and Pacific's Edge, the location of the reception, will be available, however no details are available at this time.

Monterey Bay Lodge (Group Rate)

The Monterey Bay Lodge is located across from El Estero Park and the Monterey Vistior's Center. The Lodge is situated about two miles from the Acquarium, four blocks from downtown Monterey, and "150 steps" from the beach. All rooms include a mini-fridge, complimentary coffee, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, color television with HBO, and wireless Internet access. The lodge has an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.

All of these rooms are in the same part of the lodge. In order to get this group rate, please be sure to mention that you are part of the "McHenry-Mishina Wedding Party". Carmel Hill Lodge (More Economical Option)

The Carmel Hill Lodge is located across from the Del Monte Center (an outdoor shopping center) in the woody inland portion of the Monterey peninsula about 1.5 miles from downtown Monterey and with easy access to the Pacific Coast Highway. All rooms include a mini-fridge, color television with HBO, and internet access (note that this is not wireless so bring an ethernet cable!). The lodge has an outdoor pool and serves a complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby.

We do not have a group rate arrangement with this lodge. Room rates are variable from $75 to $140 + tax per night depending on type of room and time of year. We stayed at this location for our most recent trip up to Monterey and can recommend this place as a simple but very clean and well-maintained establishment.
